The design and intention of the TN visa/status is temporary. Currently, “temporary” means 3 years. Does it mean that you must leave the US after the 3 years? No, but you can either apply for another TN visa or look at other visa options. Technically, a TN is not “renewable” but you can apply for another one even if it is for the same company and the same job.

Currently, there is no limit on how many times you can apply for the TN visa.

So remember, if you decide to apply for another TN, do not call it a “renewal” as the officer may give you the evil eye!  =D
